For a muse of mine

I was ruminating on how to continue the short story I started writing when I decided to check on some of my past works virtually archived elsewhere. Judging on the number of posts and dates when they were posted, it was very apparent that I am not a very prolific writer. Having put down my pen for poetry for almost two years, reading the stanzas I composed way back brings a whiff of nostalgia, as if I am forever incapable of writing poems again, and the least I can do is read them and remember the muses that inspired them.

Out of the posts I have in that online portfolio (if it can actually be considered one), two of them - the more recent a project that most probably will not be worked upon and the next one, that was published last March 2010 - I discovered, was prompted by the same muse. One year and nine months, and one muse were what apparently took me to produce something "poetic" (not a poem though) again.

This muse happens to be a real person. This one, like me, enjoys reading. If one day I can produce more than what I have there, I am going to dedicate the collection to this person. Perhaps I can also make a compilation of the works this muse inspired. I hope my muse likes poems.
